Quick Start
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Bae helps you build and organize your music library. Here’s what you can do:
- Import music from local files, CDs, or torrents
- Enrich metadata automatically from Discogs and MusicBrainz
- Browse your library by artist, album, genre, or year
Your first import
Section titled “Your first import”Import local files
Section titled “Import local files”The easiest way to start is importing music you already have:
- Click the Import button in the sidebar
- Select Local Files
- Choose a folder containing your music
- Bae scans the folder and shows you what it found
- Select a Discogs or MusicBrainz release to match
- Click Import
Bae copies the files to your library and downloads artwork and metadata.
Library location
Section titled “Library location”By default, Bae stores your library in:
- macOS:
~/Music/Bae Library
You can change this in Settings.
